Applications

Bar soldering

This process uses thermodes for heat input. The thermode, for example, consists of two tungsten electrodes that are connected to each other at the tip and are thus heated by the current flow. This applies heat energy to the parts to be soldered, between which the solder is located.

Typical applications of bar soldering are the bonding of stranded wires, ribbon cables on printed circuit boards, soldering coils and components.
