Steel welding

Steel is still one of the most important materials in automotive construction. A number of new materials have been developed in the steel industry as a result of the demand for lighter and safer car bodies. Forming suitability, corrosion protection and strength are the keywords to be met here. Weldability must always be guaranteed.

Resistance welding is still the most widely used process, not only because of its simplicity, but also because of its good process reliability. Due to the positive temperature coefficient of steel, the material resistance increases the more it is heated. This is where the adaptive IQR controller can come into its own. Today, it can be found in all spot welding systems.
