One-sided welding

Applications

One-sided welding

“One-sided” or “indirect” resistance welding is based on the resistance spot welding process. If the parts to be welded are not accessible from below with an electrode, a copper base (copper plate) is used here. In single-sided welding, both electrodes contact the material from above. In this way, at least two welds are carried out at the same time. In parallel spot welding, symmetrical force distribution and also symmetrical cable feed to the electrodes must be observed.
