Working Group AG V 3 “Resistance Welding”

The working group AG V 3 “Resistance Welding” in the Technical Committee of DVS is composed of 8 working groups (V 3.1 – V 3.10) which deal with the manifold questions of resistance welding technology. Many experienced experts work together on a voluntary basis to develop DVS leaflets and guidelines, as well as international standards on the subject of resistance welding. The tasks are carried out in cooperation with the DIN Standards Committee on Welding Technology (NAS, www.nas.din.de).

The DVS leaflets and guidelines that have been compiled are summarised in the DIN-DVS pocket books 312 and 393 “Standards, DVS leaflets and guidelines in the field of resistance welding”. (www.dvs-verlag.de)

The working group organises a two-day DVS special conference on “Resistance Welding” every three years. In addition, WG V 3, in cooperation with Technical Committee 4 “Resistance Welding” of the Research Association on Welding and Allied Processes (Forschungsvereinigung Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e. V.) of DVS (www.dvs-forschungsvereinigung.de), holds a technical colloquium on current research results once a year. New members are welcome in all working groups of WG V 3.
