international Working Group WG3 in ISO/TC 44 SC 6

International standardisation has already been reported on. We introduced the Technical Committee TC 44 Welding and Allied Processes within the ISO organisation and specifically the sub-committee SC 6 with the focus on resistance welding (ISO/TC 44 SC 6 “Resistance Welding and allied mechanical joining”). Several working groups are active within the SC 6 subcommittee. WG 3 (ISO/TC 44/SC 6/WG 3, Quality management and testing) deals with all topics related to quality assurance, quality management and inspection and testing in resistance welding. The working group meets twice a year and pushes the work on international standardisation and unification of these topics. These topics are worked on and added to nationally in the mirror committees of German standardisation and the work in DVS (DVS AG V3). In WG 3, experts from different countries regularly work on revising and rewriting a wide variety of standards.

Despite the active contribution of the working groups in the DVS on the German side, there is a lack of German participation in these international bodies. Here, everyone is called upon to stand up for German interests in the field of resistance welding and to cooperate.
