acs technology day “Joining technology” 2023

Under the motto “Smart joining technologies – efficient and sustainable”, the acs (“automotive center Südwestfalen”) Technology Day “Joining Technology” 2023, as already briefly reported, took place in Attendorn on June 13 and 14.
More than 60 visitors were welcomed. Trend-setting topics, current projects and research focuses of the acs and individual partners were presented.

In addition to resistance welding, the thematic focus was on mechanical joining processes, laser welding and various arc welding processes as well as on sustainable quality assurance with the help of digitalization in the process chain. Current innovations and developments in process technology were also presented by partners and industry experts from leading companies.

The two-day technology day was opened with a get-together on June 13 at the Romantikhotel Platte by Mr. Ralf Bothfeld (Managing Director of Harms & Wende GmbH & Co. KG) with a keynote speech. The next day, Andreas Gusenko (Head of Joining Technology at acs) welcomed all participants to the acs technical center.
As moderator, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Udo Müller (TH Würzburg-Schweinfurt and scientific director of the acs) led the numerous visitors through a varied program.

Dr. Pavel Shcheglov gave his presentation entitled “Industry-oriented products for more costenefficiency in resistance spot welding in the TIER 1 segment”.
In parallel, the Harms & Wende team had installed an exhibition booth. In numerous technical discussions, our innovative solutions for more efficiency and sustainability as well as the interesting lecture were discussed with the participants.
